Part 1: From Perth to Kalbarri

Part 1: From Perth to Kalbarri

Welcome to the first part of my trip! 🙂

Details

A few weeks before starting my trip, I discovered that a japanese classmate wanted to visit Broome before leaving Australia. Broome was on my way and she graduated the same day than me, so we finally decided to go together. Yayoi is her name. 🙂

I left my lovely host family and house mates of Perth on the 6th of September at around 8am.

The weather was quite chilly at that time. It is still cold now, they say (exactly one month later)! 😀

I picked up Yayoi in Subiaco and then we went together to Spudshed in Morley to buy some food.

We stopped in Jurian Bay to see the beach. There was a pretty nice scenery. 🙂

We decided to sleep our first night near the beach, a few kilometers before Geraldton. Nice starry sky! 🙂

I made a little Time Lapse by taking a picture every 30s for a little moment. The result is quite nice. 🙂

The next day, we drove to the pink lake near Kalbarri and met an older Swiss couple who had started to travel the day before us for a 3 months trip. They had a film camera, a normal camera and a drone! Good staff for making memories! ^^

As it was spring and as the winter was quite wet, there were amazing flowers on the way!
